Yesterday, reigning Formula 1 World Champion Lando Norris revealed that he has become co-owner of his own racing team. And if that wasn’t exciting enough, there is much more behind the team and the project the British driver has started.
For years, money has played a huge role in motorsport. Talent alone is often not enough to make it to the top, with the financial costs of racing creating a major barrier for young drivers. Together with LN4Fusion, Norris is trying to change that by giving the next generation of drivers a real chance, not only by supporting their careers, but also by helping them financially build their path towards the top

A new path for young talent
LN4Fusion is set to build a presence across several stages of the junior single-seater ladder, with plans spanning Formula 4, Formula Regional and FIA Formula 3, as well as a potential entry into FIA Formula 2. Rather than focusing on just one championship, the project is designed to create a longer-term development path for drivers as they progress through the ranks.
The team also wants to bring the different levels together under one operation, using shared knowledge, engineering expertise and a structure inspired by Formula 1. With Lando Norris involved, LN4Fusion can also draw on the experience of someone who has made that journey himself, from junior single-seaters to the F1 grid.
The LN4 Legacy Programme
At the heart of LN4Fusion’s mission is the LN4 Legacy Programme, created to give talented young drivers an opportunity to progress in motorsport regardless of their financial background.
The programme will look at two key factors when identifying drivers: talent and financial need. Those selected will receive financial support to help remove one of the biggest barriers in junior motorsport, while also gaining access to coaching, mentoring and professional development.
The goal is not simply to help drivers get behind the wheel. LN4Fusion wants to provide the wider support network young drivers need to develop both on and off the track, drawing on the kind of environment that helped shape Lando Norris’ own journey through the junior categories.
In an industry where a driver's future can often depend on how much funding they can bring to a team, the LN4 Legacy Programme aims to put the focus back where it belongs: on talent and potential.
More than just a race seat
The LN4 Legacy Programme goes beyond simply helping young drivers pay for a race seat. Personally funded by Lando Norris, the independent programme is designed to identify exceptional talent while also considering a driver's financial circumstances.
Those selected will receive financial backing alongside access to coaching, performance support, media and commercial guidance, driver management and experienced people from across the sport. The aim is to give drivers the kind of support needed to develop their careers both on and off the track, with decisions made around what is best for each individual driver's long-term development.
Importantly, the programme operates independently of any Formula 1 team or manufacturer. That allows its focus to remain solely on finding and developing talented young drivers.
The motivation behind it is simple: junior motorsport has become increasingly expensive, and too many talented drivers never get the opportunity to show what they can do because they cannot afford to continue. Having experienced that journey himself, Norris now wants to use his success to create opportunities for the next generation.

statement on how much the pyramid of Formula 3 and Formula
2 is crucial to the future of Formula 1. Through Lando’s investment and

The team behind LN4Fusion
Behind LN4Fusion is a team bringing together experience from different sides of motorsport, with each person taking on a specific role within the organisation.
CEO Dan Richards is responsible for the business side of the project, including its overall strategy, financing and relationship with the investment group and shareholders. Meanwhile, co-founder Lando Norris will have an active role in shaping the team's identity, culture and approach to developing young drivers.
On the sporting side, René Rosin joins as a consultant and will lead the racing programme as Team Principal, bringing years of experience in junior single-seater racing. Dan Hazlewood will oversee the team's British operations, including its Formula 4 programme, while Guillaume Capietto takes on the role of Racing Director, coordinating the technical and sporting sides of the operation.
Together, the team combines business experience, technical knowledge and first-hand racing experience, all with the aim of building LN4Fusion into a long-term home for young talent.
The people behind the Legacy Programme
The LN4 Legacy Programme is led by a team with extensive experience across different areas of motorsport. Mark Berryman and Fraser Sheader, through ADD Management, oversee the commercial, strategic and operational side of the programme. Their work includes scouting and representing drivers, building commercial partnerships and managing relationships with teams and manufacturers.
Julian leads the sporting direction and driver development philosophy of the programme, bringing more than two decades of experience in motorsport. His career has included race engineering, team management, driver development and senior Formula 1 leadership, most recently as Sporting Director at Alpine. With more than 100 race wins and 175 podiums across his career, he brings experience from almost every stage of the journey from junior racing to Formula 1.
Together, the team aims to create a complete support system around each driver, recognising that developing a successful racing career requires much more than simply being fast behind the wheel.

"I’ve been really lucky to have some amazing people around me throughout
my career, and I know that getting to Formula 1 takes so much more than just
talent. You need the right people around you, the right support and the right
opportunities at the right time.
That’s what these two projects are all about. LN4 Fusion is about building a race
team that can compete with the best in junior motorsport, with great people
and a great environment for drivers to develop. The LN4 Legacy Programme
is about helping talented young drivers get opportunities they might not
otherwise have.
For me, they naturally fit together. I want to help create opportunities for the
next generation, both on and off the track, and hopefully make a real difference
to young drivers coming through the sport.
